Abstract
We are very pleased to dedicate this Special Issue of the
Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization to
Professor Yacov Y. Haimes for his pioneering and significant
contributions over forty years to various aspects of systems
engineering and risk management including planning, design,
management and operation of water resources, transportation and
other interdependent infrastructure systems, multiple objective
optimization and hierarchical analysis of large-scale systems, as a
scholar and educator.
